Returned

All of the ducks are now returned. As the ducks were returned, I kept track.


The first duck was returned amongst animal friends in the library.



The 2nd and 3rd ducks were in cubbies in 2 kindergarten rooms.




The 4th, 5th, and 6th ducks were in the refrigerator in the nurse's office.

The 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th ducks were in the Safari hunt; each in a room with a clue leading to the next, with the last in Sue's office.


And the 11th-15th ducks were put on the cake.

I just wish that I had pictures of all of the ducks in their returned spots. I didn't get the chance to take pictures of all of them, as sometimes I had to work fast. But I had a blast doing this.



Clara is now very happy that she has all of her duckies back. She is safegaurding them, especially from me.

Safari Day

Tuesday was declared a free day for Clara. She didn't have to do a task to get her duckies back, she just had to retrieve them. It was called Safari Day. She had to go on a safari of sorts to get the duckies. With the note explaining the day, was a picture with the first duck and the place where it was located.

Once she found that duck, she would find a note telling her where the next one is, and so on and so forth. Until she found the fourth and last duck, which held a congratulatory note telling her to enjoy the rest of the free day.

But apparently Clara didn't have time to go on her little Safari. At the end of the school day, it appeared the ducks had not been retrieved.

It looks as though The Black Duckie will have to check up on that on Wednesday... Edited to add: Clara retrieved the ducks on Wednesday morning.

It's Hot in Here

On Monday, Clara had to find out the temperature of the room from Mary Becker 3 times. Unfortunately, Clara didn't find her note until almost noon, so she only asked Mary what the temp. was 2 times.

Sadly for Clara, Mary didn't know the temperature of the room. She only knew that "The Black Duckie flies at midnight." and "Only during the Harvest Moon."

Hahahaha.

Friday's Task

Clara was very clever with Friday's task.

I asked her to "Borrow a basketball from Ms. Raxter and sink 2 baskets."

Rather than borrow a basketball and try to shoot 2 baskets in a basketball hoop, Clara was being witty.

She took 2 basketballs, put them in baskets, and then placed them on Ms. Raxter's desk in her office.

Very clever, Clara. Very, very clever.

Muahahaha. I mean, Good luck finding the returned duckies.

Absent Board Duckies

I finally got a picture of the absent board with the "ransom reward" on it. Enjoy.

Incorrect

It looks as though Clara did not read the ransom note very well. It specified that I, The Black Duckie-going under the name Alice Cooper at the time, wanted 2 Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bars.


She provided 2 Kathryn Beich Krunch Fund Raising Bars. Whatever those are.


So, because of this, Clara will only get 1 of her 15 duckies back.


Also in the note yesterday I told her not to call the police or to discuss this with anyone. But, since this kidnapping has been the talk of the staff and a chocolate donation collection was set up, I think that she blabbed.


For Friday's task, let's hope that she follows directions.

Let the Ransom Begin

Today we discovered Clara's love of the duckies.


So The Black Duckie has decided to kidnap them. And kidnap them I did.


In order to get them back, Clara must bring me a ransom and put it in the Front Office's Emergency Bucket by 2:30 Thursday (2/19). If this is done, a duckie will be returned unharmed on Friday morning (2/20).


If the ransom is not paid... Well, who knows what will happen to any of the duckies.
